What is Assistive Technology?
Assistive technology is an umbrella term that includes assistive, adaptive, and rehabilitative devices for people with disabilities or elderly population while also including the process used in selecting, locating, and using them.
South Central Ohio Educational Service Center, in New Boston, provides a variety of services for families and children with disabilities. Special Education Classrooms: The South Central Ohio Educational Service Center works collaboratively with area school districts to offer Special Education Services to students with special needs. Teams of professionals work alongside students and families to develop individualized education plans that will lead to student-centered learning and independence.
